A post from my sister collaborative blog: BooDiddley’s Blog

Unnamed by Boo

Boo submitted this beautiful and intriguing piece of surrealism to our shared blog. I, (Diddley), will be writing a poem influenced by this work and submitting it to this blog shortly.

Surrealistic dessert

The hand which grasps the ice cream cone
Paints self portraits of it’s nature
where skulls and fishes; stars and stripes
And farm fields filled with fruit so ripe
Nonetheless none the greater

Diaphanous as faerie wings
Melodic as the songbird sings
So delicate the weave of love, the strands
The warp and weft do compliment the whole
garment of which was made in foreign lands
As finest tea will compliment the bowl
